I'm sure it will take a while to get these orders out, probably got rid of more inventory in these two days than they have in their best month.

Yeah, this is true. Just one order I placed Friday night consisted of 38 CDs.

+1 I agree and is what I said yesterday.

Save that you added that, if the orders were canceled, you would do the internet purchaser equivalent of a skunk imitation. ; )

After reading this thread (and, unfortunately, the other related one), I became inspired to create an additional poll. Choose all answers that apply.

You order a CD and accidentally send a payment of $100 instead of $10. Should the company:

___Refund the balance of your money because it was an honest mistake

___Keep all the money because the company is entitled to benefit by your error

___Report you to a credit agency if you stop payment because you deserve to be punished for your
mistake with a bad credit rating

Quote from: Jeffrey Smith on October 14, 2012, 06:39:09 PMWhen I received the purchase--the transit time, btw, was on the quick side compared to other Amazon MP purchases--I noticed the shipping address seemed to be Amazon's Kentucky warehouse.

I just placed an order at ArkivMusic for some Challenge Classics and some Delphians, both of which are apparently distributed by Allegro.  They came in two packages, one of them from OR, and the other from 300 Omicron Court, Suite A in Shepherdstown, KY, which surprised me, because I know Allegro's in Portland.

I also ordered a package from I-Deals, and when it arrived I noticed that it came from Shepherdstown as well--300 Omicron Court, no suite specified.  This one was a Sony Classical item, which I assume is distributed by Sony even in the US.

iDeals is back! I'm looking at this Marketplace listing and am very hesitant to click "buy".

You're late to the party, Brian. They've been back and I've bought many recordings from them since this incident.

For what it's worth, I recently bought something from them and had no problems.

I've not had any problems with them since they had their computer meltdown (or whatever), though I have only ordered 2-3 items. That price, while low, is not $1 or $2 or something that looks grossly mispriced. It's also possible that someone recently bought the last copy from another vendor and they have not changed the price (yet?).

I can say almost the same thing--just substitute "several recordings" for "many recordings.  I have an order pending with them right now.

And you know something,  I have absolutely no jazz in my collection, and this certainly seems like a good deal.  So hopefully they have at least one more copy to sell to you when you do go to order it....
