In the last few months, I've been scanning in many old family photos & family/travel slides - below Susan (i.e. Harpo here) & I at our wedding, July 1970 - seems like ages ago but also just yesterday!  ;D

It all makes sense, now. :)  Great pic, Dave.  Very cool specs.  Wish I had a pair like them now.

I took the liberty of blowing up the pins on Karl's left lapel.  Here is what I found:

Cute couple. Was that the last time Harpo drank wine?  ;)  (You've mentioned she doesn't share your vinous passion.)

As we talked about elsewhere, my wedding (first marriage) took place a year after yours, July 1971. It didn't have anywhere near your marriage's longevity, though.

Here's one of my wedding (August 30, 2009)

I can't see it. Am I the only one having that problem?

Sarge, I must be looking at that pic wrong.  It looks as if the wedding day feast was tons of Sauerkraut!

Could be. She was English (on her father's side) and Romanian (on her mother's). I think we had crumpets and sărmăluţe cu mămăligă   ;D

Come on, Sarge, one or two small glasses (50 or 100 ml) wouldn't have had any other effect than making them even yummier.  :D

I've had it once. I don't recall if it made the food even better, but the food was sensational: her Romanian grandmother's legendary stuffed cabbage, slow cooked on a coal burning stove deep in the Pennsylvanian wilderness.

Cabbage, prepared nearly how soever, is ambrosia.

And: nice, thanks!  :)
