Well, I'm new and I just came across your forum and would like to introduce myself to you guys.
I'm collecting LP records since 3 years now and have some 7000 classical records and I like my Piano records the most.
They are all photographed and put on my photo site to search through, with a high res photo of front and back and inside,
in case people want to know what and who is on those records.
The site is this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/hansthijs/
Have fun if you want to search for anything and have a good Christmas holidays

Greetings from Hans in Holland

Hello, Hans, welcome to the forum!
I think we could get on well, I've studied piano and I absolutely love piano music too. About musicians, do you like Ashkenazy, Rubinstein and Richter?

Hi Guys, Thanks!
Just came across The Doors - Absolutely live and Jimmy Hendrix's Experience today and although it's not classical it is still Classic to me. So the have just been played tonight and the're good.
Heard Hartmann 5th symph. and Mahler 4 th this afternoon by the Residency Orch. in the ConcertGebouw and it was pretty overwhelming! Very nice dark first half and going to the light with Mahler 4 was good in Christmas time ;-)
See you around!

Thanks!
I specially like the feminist oeps typo! feminin I meant ;-) )piano players, such as Jeanne Bovet, iLana Vered, Alicia de Larrocha, Martha Argerich, Yuya Wang of the later generation is also amazing
Some men I just think of now are Richter, Francois, Solomon, Lupu, Sokolov, the last two I saw live this and a few years back and that was an incredible event too, for a piano lover I mean ;-)
I made a recording from the Radu Lupu Debussy Preludes Book 1 part, for it is rather unknown for him to play this:

Welcome to the forum!
Some fine pianists you list there, although I can't say I've ever heard of Bovet or Vered before.
