I am making up a CD to give to a 3-month old baby boy. It's to be something his parents will enjoy playing to him and, hopefully, he will enjoy listening to.

I would like the CD to have 20 to 30 tracks - tracks to be single movements only, ie, if from a multi-movement work. Also, wish to include a range of instruments including the human voice. Maybe that sounds like a lot of fussing, but not really - just anything appropriate.

Any suggestions?

Bernstein's Children's Classics should do nicely. It does contain multi-movement works (i. e. Saint-Saens, Britten), but the Prokofiev and Britten works contain narration.

My sister had bought this recording with her first born and she mentioned numerous times that he loved it.

I think it would be great if you can create a CD with classic nursery songs that would say the baby's name in replace of what was really on the song. It will help the baby know what his/her name is. :)
