...you joke around about food and clothes, but you're not joking!

Sadly. I sometimes catch myself thinking: "Sure I can justify buying one more boxset, I'll just skimp on lunches this one week, no problem."  :-[

Quote from: Sergeant Rock on February 06, 2013, 01:04:31 PMif it's anything like Arrested (the Holy Grail of sitcoms) I will like it. Will try to find it.

Sarge

Its characters are a little more broadly likable, but its satire of corporate America and the moral compromises people make for their employers is brutal. It's the only post-Arrested show I know of which can keep up Arrested's high-flying pace of both high- and lowbrow humor, with the exception of Archer (which is more sarcastic and pop-culture-referential where Better Off Ted is whimsical). Archer has Jessica Walter, Better Off Ted has Portia de Rossi.

It's on Netflix. Season 1 is on DVD, but Season 2 was never released on DVD and is only available over web streaming. Each season is only one half-season in American terms, so the entire run is 26 half-hours.

Yes!  Another great show scuttled by the morons of mediocrity!

People actually post on topic...
You know you've been on GMG too long when you have a mental slate of the title of every thread, and what topic is ACTUALLY being discussed within it.

...when you start a thread about how one knows he's been too long at GMG.
"Great music is that which penetrates the ear with facility and leaves the memory with difficulty. Magical music never leaves the memory." — Thomas Beecham

springrite

...when you can easily start a thread on a topic that you know have never been discussed before. And when others do otherwise, you have no trouble providing a link to the previous thread on the same or similar topic. (I know this is both a good thing and a frustrating thing for a newbie.)
Do what I must do, and let what must happen happen.

springrite

...when you keep referring to GMG'ers who have left long long ago (M, Harpie, Scarpia, etc.) and confuse the heck out of newbies.

When you suspect that some other people actually know more than you do on the subject of music. This can be quite depressing - on the one hand. On the other...
