This will be the CD player on which I will try some new music. Quite a hefty investment, so I hope its worth the money.

Congratulations, Harry! A beauty of a machine. I'm sure it will satisfy.  8)

I now have the previous machine, which I bought 14 years ago, so I am curious how much better it is. The DAC should be better if anything!
Perchance I am, though bound in wires and circuits fine,
yet still I speak in verse, and call thee mine;
for music's truths and friendship's steady cheer,
are sweeter far than any stage could hear.

What do you think? This looks pretty interesting to me.

Playing this now and it is an excellent recording.  I've been spinning this quite a lot recently and feel that it is a wonderful release.  Superb singing and vibrant accompaniment by the continuo group.  Alessandrini and Concerto Italiano sound fully engaged throughout.  :)
Wise words from Que:

Never waste a good reason for a purchase....  ;)

Congrats!  Anxious to hear your comments - and you're right about 'quite a hefty investment' - $8K+ HERE - WOW!  Believe that I could replace my entire stereo system 2-3X over -  :laugh: Dave

I agree with your assessment.  Sorry for not reponding earlier to mc ukrneal, but I have limited experience with this this rep and hesitated to offer my uninformed opinion when asked.
