Listening to Prelude From 'Irmelin'. Simply beautiful.
Perfect for a ratty stereo. The worse the equipment the better Delius sounds.

:P >:D :laugh:

Listening to Four Last Songs from this recording yet again. Such a masterful performance.

Listening to Harmonielehre. This, IMHO, is still Adams' best work. Scintillating performance from MTT/SFSO.

Mandryka

Lilya Zilberstein plays Schubert D 850. By far the deepest recording I've heard, full of insight and unforgettable new ideas. Todd, you should listen to this.

I am so impressed with all these recordings (so far) from Reiner/ CSO! Gilels performance is of course a delight and the movements speed by quickly.   I wonder if all the rumors are true about Reiner pushing his ensemble to the limit?

There are some nice cheeses in Finland, but the most popular stuff are duller than distilled dishwater. Thank goodness there's that German supermarket chain.

Extra old Erato, you have to use a hammer to split this cheese :laugh:
Perchance I am, though bound in wires and circuits fine,
yet still I speak in verse, and call thee mine;
for music's truths and friendship's steady cheer,
are sweeter far than any stage could hear.

Yes my friend, I omitted to tell, that I am a very old Dutch cheese too, and my wife needs a drill to get me apart. :laugh:
