Hey, this looks cool.

This disc is bunches of fun, and it's cool hearing the Czech orchestras in this music. The finale of "Bacchus" has more punch than the Martinon recordings, in part thanks to the maybe more primitive (stereo) recording.

Wait, did he change the last chord of the Bach/Busoni from minor-key to major-key? That's kind of a major intervention.

Marc Mauillon sings Machaut's Qui n'aroit autre deport. From the point of view of instruments, the accompaniment, this is really interesting and very successful IMO.

No. I don't know that one but it's on my wishlist along with a few more of their recordings - they've been quite prolific. But you're right, I'm open to suggestions so thanks for this.

It's a great disc of some very special repertoire.

Mass # 6, in E Flat, D. 950. A great Mass setting, and a beautiful interpretation. One of Harnoncourt's illuminating/illuminated efforts.

I also love the Leinsdorf BP recording (EMI, now Testament) with a stupendous cast (mind you, the soloists could very well be chorus members, as they have next to nothing to sing).  :-\
