Here's the YouTube video of the Nocturne  by my friend Larry Heinen from the Montgomery County Composers' Society concert.  I'm not responsible for the fuzzy photography (only for the "buzzy" intonation  :o)
If you like this piece, you can find a few more of Larry's pieces on YouTube by searching  on "Lawrence Heinen".   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=438LoYooXTE

Thanks Karl (or whoever you are now --I don't know the name of your symbol. . . ^. . ., but I eventually found it on my keyboard  :)).  And thanks for putting up the proper YouTube link.  Maybe I'll learn how to do that someday  ::).

I'll tell Larry you liked the piece.  It will make him happy.  Heck, it even makes him happy if someone hears his pieces and doesn't like them--he's happy that at least someone heard them!

Larry heard me playing a trio by Gustav Jenner for this combination of instruments (with another hornist and pianist) at our little chamber music seminar, and he liked the combination of instruments and decided to do something for that grouping.  We did the first performance of his piece at the chamber music seminar recital.  It might have been a slightly better performance (I'll have to locate the recording and check my memory), partly because the three of us had been playing together for over a year (so Jay, the other horn player, knew exactly where I would be playing sharp and would adjust to meet me  ;D) and partly because we had played a longer, more difficult piece immediately before Larry's trio, so we were fully warmed up and relaxed by the time we got to the Nocturne.   Jay and Sarah weren't available for the evening of the composer's society concert, so I had the experience of playing the same piece with different partners.

Lovely combination of three instruments! Of course, I'd think so, as I've got a set of three pieces for clarinet and horn duo ; )

Indeed; I shall be happy to send if you like!  (Unlike the CD, I can e-mail this today ; )

I'd be delighted to see it, even if, as I suspect from listening to some of the composer's other works for my instrument, it will be far beyond my meager technical abilities!  It can join my vast and ever growing collection of music I'd like to play some day, if I get good enough!

Hello, I play the horn and i would like to have the sheets? Does anybody know where I can get them? I love the piece and i'd like to do it myself with a few friends.
