You beat me, Karlo!  >:D  ;D

Wanted to get involved with this new thread, and this has been on my eye for a while. I told myself that if it had the Pavane on the disc as well, I'd get it. And fortunately, it did:

I can believe it this time, as it looks like it got a bit chewed up.  But what cat could resist these refined delicacies.

From cdjapan:

The Shostakovich set includes Symphonies No. 10 and 9 (the last conducted by Efrem Kurtz).

The new erato

I  don't know how your cat managed to put its claws on it as it's an 18Tth march release, but I preordered it pretty cheaply from europadisc last night:

[asin]B009G7WUOM[/asin]

I have their two Handel recordings and I'm confidenbt this one will be great too. Also I preordered this:

[asin]B009G7WUBU[/asin]

My Corelli holdings are small, and I thought their op 6 gorgeous.

(no teeth marks on this one)

Oh, my cats are special; stealthy, and sneaky - believe it!

@ GSMoeller: This recording, in its way the most HIP ever, has dislodged a good deal of thinking... so yes, there'll be an essay forthcoming, probably. Let me try to sell it first, before disgorging here, though.  ;)

Still finding ways to get more purchases and I found one: earlier today I was looking through some old sales cards and such and I ran across an Amazon gift card for $20 that I haven't even used yet (!!!), so here's what I bought:

Very excited to receive this recording as it contains the world premiere performance of Poem of Life and Love which some material would later be reworked into A Song of Summer.

With 15 discs en route I didn't really need these, but I called into Sikoras and they had a large
batch of new arrivals in the used bins, so I bought:
SUK: A Summer Tale
HOVHANESS:  Symphony 39, 46
ARNELL: Symphony 3
KOECHLIN: Piano music including L'ancienne maison de campagne
GHEDINI: Partita for Orchestra, DALLAPICCOLA: Marsia ballet
TANÇ, REY, ERKIN:  Music for String Orchestra
"Keep your hand on the throttle and your eye on the rail as you walk through life's pathway."

Fafner

This just arrived:

[asin]B000001GQQ[/asin]

I ordered it through British Amazon MP and it looks kinda fishy. I googled a bit and it appears to be a legit Argentinian pressing, but the manufacturing is definitely subpar. Especially the booklet looks atrocious, badly resized and with blurry fonts.  It sounds fine though, at least.
