For Muti (or megabox) fans, quite a bargain.  91 CDs, $128.40 at Amazon

It's all good...

I hope whoever was interested, managed to order it!  :)  It's gone now...

Wow, that was short lived. Either it was a very limited offer or there were many astute buyers!

Sometimes JPC offers imply just a very few copies ... this one probably caused rumours among harpsichord fans.

I can also mean from my experience with them, that they are temporarily out of sufficient stock, so be aware that it suddenly can go back to price it was before when they have a new supply. I have seen that happen quite often. This said I was not even aware that the Scarlatti box was so low in price, and I pride myself of keeping a close watch on this site. ::)

Time to tally up how many CDs of the Muti box I would actually listen to, and see if it's still a bargain at that point. I've seen it mostly around $180-190, so $130 is a big drop.

And this is my general problem with mega sets. Loads and loads of CDs, but much of limited interest for me.

Yep. Like the Solti/London box - I don't want to hear Solti's drab Mozart and Haydn, and that's like a third of the box. Looking at the LA Philharmonic big box on DG, I realized that the only stuff I want out of it is the new Salonen stuff.

Anyway, it's back up to $150 now. Decision averted.  ;D

Zowie! As tempting as this "doorstop" is, the wife of my bosom won't abide another doorstop at this time.

Yep...my subscription renewal payment went through, but the forum didn't recognize it so I lost the never-have-to-erase-your-PMs perk and have to wait for Rob  :(

Everyone who orders anything from Europadisc through January 20 will be entered in a raffle prize drawing for a FREE copy of the Barbirolli Big Box. Will be funny if the winner doesn't want it  ;D ;D
