I really like this disk. I wish I could have found their others (the last 2 anyway). I like the Salomon's version of the last two, but I feel like I would have liked the Kuijkens a bit more. Or not....

I really like this disk. I wish I could have found their others (the last 2 anyway). I like the Salomon's version of the last two, but I feel like I would have liked the Kuijkens a bit more. Or not....   

I have the Salomon's two disc set of the last four; I like it, but I find the production a bit on the 'thick' side, not allowing for enough separation of instruments.  I'm very interested to hear this when it comes in and I couldn't argue with an OOP recording for $12 + shipping.

My preference is L'Archibudelli for 3 & 4, but options are relatively few for 5 & 6. Thus Salomon's....

In my experience the sound quality isn´t always up to usual CD standard.

I know that feeling very well.  I barely managed to resist that Beethoven deal because I really don't have the money.  I'm sure you will find some way to budget for it, though.
