My one failing for "Prime Day":  just landed.
I wish all my failures were as good as this! :)

Even with all the redundant discs (Doráti/Bartók, Paray, e.g.) this was one terrific deal . . . and a lot of the "lesser" stuff which would not necessarily have drawn me, I'm finding of interest.  And then there are things like the Sessions Black Maskers Suite, which I hadn't noticed when I was investigating it before pulling the trigger!

Impulse buy at a local department store, 5 euros. A great CD!  :)
Spatial distortion is a serious problem deteriorating headphone listening.
Crossfeeders reduce spatial distortion and make the sound more natural
and less tiresome in headphone listening.

Well, I just received a new CD of Alexander Fesca's Piano Trios (first image below) based on a great review in the most recent issue of Fanfare (link in the listening thread) - now, there are only a few offerings of this short-lived composer (dead @ 29 y/o from TB) - his father, i.e. Friedrich Fesca (also short-lived - died @ 37 y/o from the same disease) wrote more music, so ordered the 4 discs below, i.e. the remainder of his Symphonies (own the other CPO disc) and the 3 CD set of half of his string quartets.  Dave :)

I've always had great respect for Paddington because he is amusingly English and a eccentric bear He is a great British institution and emits great wisdom with every growl. Of course I have Paddington at home, he is a member of the family, sure he is from the moment he was born. We have adopted him.

had two orders for this running, unsure if either would come through ... seems both do (one just arrived), so if you're interested, get in touch (international shipping is expensive, also if it's just within Europe):

Some are better than others in that series, but nothing is outright bad, so you have a lot of good listening ahead of you.

I sampled through all of them, and as you say, at places it could be better, but in general I think they will please me enough. Plus half of the normal price, so its all good. I am looking forward to them, and will report my findings :)

I did not expect it would. I bought all that CPO recorded of this composer. I think he is one of the neglected masters of his time. His magnificent Symphonies are also very good. And budget price also....
