Pawel Szymanski / Symanski: Partitas, Preludes for Piano etc.

I know a good deal of the works from youtube etc., but am looking forward to receiving this CD.
7 more to go on my want-list; interesting, how much I will be able to slow down afterwards, or possibly stop for a while.

Thanks for tipping me off about this source, Daverz! Had you used them before?

I found something I thought had never made it to CD, and that the Boulez completeist in me could not resist ordering:

And this particular recording (a classic) has been absent from my collection since the days of LPs. In this "retro" packaging, and at this seller's attractive price, I went for it as well:

And some of that Keilberth stuff looks rather interesting!

The new erato

I found this at 5 Euro at amazon.fr;

Added this which has languished in my wishlist amongst prereleases for some time:

And another - the Rilling Bach cantatas box. A very good price on amazon.fr, around € 65 including postage.

Will cull the Gardiner 22CD Bach Sacred Masterpieces box + and the Brilliant 16 Secular Cantatas/Schreier box, having a selection of other recordings too.

If it is better than the Curtis recording it is extremely excellent.  The cover art has nothing to do with the opera's historical setting, but that does not really matter, since the opera's historical setting has little to do with its real world historical setting.

Meanwhile,  a trip to the local CD shop yielded a bunch of singing.  Two operas I've never heard, one opera of which I have too few recordings,  the volume of Koopman's Bach cantata series devoted to the secular cantatas, bleeding chunks of Wagner and Strauss, and a lieder recital.  $31US all told.

ETA The Werther is actually the full recording, not just the highlights.

Yeah, I've used them a couple times before.  Items ship from Taiwan.

A good deal too much singing for me

I recently picked up these 3 discs for $10 (obviously the Britten-led Mozart Requiem was the "find") but Jeffrey's bargain may have been even better.

I will be interested to read in time what you think of the Boccherini Symphonies if you do not know them already.

Well, I did listen to disc 1 on Spotify and liked it quite a lot.  :)

I mentioned earlier the order of the 8-disc set  The Art of Dutch Keyboard Music by Jacob Bogaart, it arrived today, I'll post the back cover with the contents.  The DVD on two steam operated lines in Argentina and Paraguay is a German edition of a Japanese production, I think I'll sleep well having gone through an hour of that, I will leave the FRANÇAIX and BEACH discs for tomorrow as well as a short opera bouffe by IBERT that has already disappeared and some duos by PAGANINI for violin and bassoon
