Fantastic, Ray! Great stuff! That Bartok set should be excellent.

Just bought:

I've read nothing but great things about Schiff's traversal of Janáček's solo piano music and, indeed, the examples I heard from In the Mists were exemplary.

The first time I listened to this (which was only in January! a 2016 purchase for me too), the Sonata 1.X.1905 performance was so great I had to hear it twice in a row.

Thanks to your recommendation I ordered it too. There's also a version by Peire. I wonder if that's good ? Recorded some 40 years later, so I suppose it's quite different.

Good to hear, Brian. I've read lots of a great reviews about it and this recording received a 10/10 on Classics Today, but not from Hurwitz.
