Very cool, Andre. I received this recording today (and a slew of Saeverud recordings), so hopefully I'll manage to squeeze this recording into my listening soon.

Just bought:

Purchased yesterday at the Classical Music departement in Shinjuku, Tokyo, of Disk Union:

Disk Union sells new and used. Both discs were sold as used, but the Ockeghem seems brand new to me.

Thanks, it has been great so far!  :)

Since we leave for Kyoto today, that will conclude the Japanese purchases for now... I don't expect to find any significant classical music stores outside of Tokyo. And although I found some raving comments on the internet on Tokyo as "the last place on earth still standing" as far as physical classical record stores are concerned, my impression is these places are slowly withering away as well with few and mostly elderly clientele.

Nice store for sure, but when I bought a CD there they did the most moronic thing: cut open the shrinkwrap, tear off a corner anf put their sticker onto the digipack ... took off that sticker while walking out but it tore off some of the laminaton with it ... should have returned and asked my money back but I actually did want that disc (a Grumiaux recital from that INA series).

Wow - they did not do that to me, although as I recall, I was mostly buying 3-4 euro clearance items (out of print Praga).

In my experience (I buy from them often, as I travel for business to Brussels about three times each month), they'll put that sticker on the fully-priced stuff, but not on the discounted, clearance items. I think it's actually a cute thing to do (as long as the sticker is put on a plastic jewel-case, not on a cardboard sleeve). I suppose one can ask them not to do it...

I am looking forward to hearing this one.

Yeah, but that guy was too fast for me, I just stood there watching, dumbfounded ... and yeah, it's cute and kinda old-fashioned, but I'm the kind of guy who always takes off any type of sticker (some of them I move to the inside of the cover or booklet, but usually I just throw them away).

If they did that to me, there'd be some days I'd tell them the deal was off. They've changed the product.
Every single post on the forum is unnecessary. Including the ones that are interesting or useful.

Falstaff looks a lot like Orson Welles, there. Maybe the designer was thinking Chimes of Midnight.

Yes indeed. I have actually received it but I have not had the chance to listen to it yet; and it is a 2 CD set.  :)
