Thanks, Greg! Speaking of Delius, do you own any of his music in your collection?

I own nothing, but have heard a little.

Oh, okay. Well I hope you remedy this one day, Greg. :)

I'm quite busy at the moment with birthday stuff, but I received $200 from my parents plus an iPhone that I'll need to setup a bit later via AT&T store, but I did manage to now finally make some birthday CD purchases and here's what I bought so far:

Being a Delian, I wanted the CD issue of the Groves Koanga performance even though I owned it in the EMI 150th Anniversary Edition already.

Sacrebleu! You're a slow-paced hunter, Que. I'm sure you have had that disc in mind for years.

Congratulations, it's a very nice acquisition.  :)

Thanks.. 8) My musical interests are many and diverse, as is the list in the back of my head which is seemingly endless.

The same, unfortunately, does not go for either time or resources - so whenever I get my hands on an item it is as much of a surprise to me as it is to you! ;D ;D

Grumiaux: FRENCH & BELGIAN VIOLIN SONATAS (Eloquence, 2cd)
AG on the cover, with his lips inexplicably dark, looking disturbingly like the Mystery Man from David Lynch's LOST HIGHWAY.

Now that seems a classy pick! :)

Bach GOLDBERGs/TOCCATAS by Asperen [also available in a recent 6cd slimline box with his WTC, but I'd bought the WTC 4cd before that newer box came out]

We did a comparative blind listening game of a particular toccata (for harpsichord) a while ago - that thread might be an interesting read.

I recall when on the serarch for a nice recording of the complete toccatas not being charmed by this Virgin recording but very much liking his later Teldec/Warner remake - after my favorite Léon Berben (Ramée).

We have much in common.  I am among the few GMG members that are into early music like you are.    :D

I own so much Delius now that there's not much left, Ray. :( As for Taneyev, I found out that my Dad owns all the Sanderling recordings on Naxos, so I'll definitely be borrowing those from him soon. :)

Looks interesting, Karlo. I've heard of Raitio before but haven't heard any of his music. Klami is another composer I would like to explore at some point.
