Sound interesting, in what way is it "electronic" - keyboards or more abstract sound effects?

It is a combination of both of the above and is a very interesting and exciting listen so far [only heard Act 1 so far].

Hey springrite! Happy Birthday!  :)

Just arrived from Amazon:

[asin]B07SQTP8T1[/asin]

Very excited for this one.  ;)

I had collected several of the individual releases (and loved them!), but always held off on buying more in anticipation for a boxed set release.  Glossa came through here!
Wise words from Que:

Never waste a good reason for a purchase....  ;)

I scoured the sales bin at JPC:

Lajtha: Symphony No. 2; Variations, Op. 44
Pécs SO/Pasquet

My second Lajtha symphony purchase. My one bugbear about it is that the Variations are on a single track lasting over 40 minutes. I have no idea where each variation begins or ends, and having some bearings is often helpful when navigating a new work.

(Mitteltönige Stimmung sounds good to me.)

When was it recorded and how is it?

I have never associated Döling with HIP.

Yes, me also.

I did buy the whole set one disc at a time at premium price.  They were worth every nickel.  They are great recordings.

Yes indeed, I also found them to be compulsive buying at the time and I agree with your sentiments.

Earlier today. Arkivmusic's sale prices were tempting enough to lure me back for these

$9.99!

$2.99!

Also $2.99!
And these three  were not bargainy bargains but still tempting.

I need more Beethoven symphonies like a hole in my head, but after seeing some positive posts, at 99 cents I decided to give these a try.... interesting cover image.....

The man that hath no music in himself,
Nor is not moved with concord of sweet sounds,
Is fit for treasons, stratagems, and spoils.
The motions of his spirit are dull as night,
And his affections dark as Erebus.
Let no such man be trusted.

I received this today. Sounding very good in a soft and slightly resonant acoustic.

At 99 cents that makes 11 cents per Beethoven symphony; they could have included No. 10 (also recorded by these forces) for this price.  ::)
