Put some orders in at JPC
Perchance I am, though bound in wires and circuits fine,
yet still I speak in verse, and call thee mine;
for music's truths and friendship's steady cheer,
are sweeter far than any stage could hear.

"When Time hath gnawed our bones to dust, yet friendship's echo shall not rust"

"Courage is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm" (Churchill).

'The test of a work of art is, in the end, our affection for it, not our ability to explain why it is good' (Stanley Kubrick).

I like the Kitajenko * set.

Works for any Kitajenko set. :)

Prokofiev is particularly good.

When I posted twice different recordings of Coptic Light in the listening thread I received no response, but when your favorite critic makes a video you and MI immediately order it!  I see how that works.  I need to make a youtube channel... ;D

That's gotta sting!

Bought these late last night:

Everything That Rises and Lines Made By Walking are recordings that feature JLA's SQs and I bought The Become Trilogy because I didn't own Become River or Become Desert. I don't believe that Become River has ever had a physical release and was download only in the past, so it'll be great having a physical copy of it.

The Soler and Respighi look interesting. I have the Guarnieri and Duarte and I like them a lot.

The Respighi piano works recording on Naxos is very nice, IMO. Likewise the two piano concertante discs, representing views of those works that are very different from the Chandos and Brilliant Classics ones.

It will be my first Scelsi as well.

I don't know the recording, but it surely looks good.

I took a gamble, but it doesn't it seem rather unlikely that they have multiple copies in stock?

Anyway, fingers crossed...  :)

You know its on Spotify, downloadable from Qobuz etc?

(by the way, she seems to have recorded the same Forqueray programme twice, once for MDG and once for Erato.)

I like that you changed your avatar to John Adams and you're already moving on to the next John Adams  ;D

I hope you will like it as much as I do.  :)
Reality trumps our fantasy far beyond imagination.

Is this the old Virgin recording by Tetzlaff with new cover/branding or a more recent one?

That's the Virgin one; all Virgin stuff has been rebranded as Erato.

Prokofiev is particularly good.

It could be, though the recording is a bit pale and there is something with the sonics that doesn't sound right.
The current annihilation of a people on this planet (you know which one it is) is the most documented and at the same time the most preposterously denied. The terror IS REAL!
