Truth is that I might enjoy it just that once and lay it rest untouched forever after 

Ah, but it has 12 hours or so of performances that may be of interest.

With good reason ! I have had them for a few years but in a space-saving box on the NCA label.   



Great stuff. Surprisingly, the composer Reger's piano music reminds me most of is CPE Bach, who was equally prolific, dabbled in all genres and produced gold nuggets like a hen lays eggs.

Enjoying the Marriner/ASMF Haydn set, I decided to go for this

Deciding factor was inclusion of the non-standard symphonies.

I'm almost surprised to find myself springing for this. I already have the Debussy, which I would consider the most valuable recordings in the set. But there are many other lovely things there, and the recording of the Mozart Concerti gnaws at me, since reviews I've read indicate it just the sort of thing I like and it seems to be utterly impossible to find as an individual release.

This is a good one, Andre. We get to hear some smaller-scale Leifs. I don't own this particular recording but I own the original release, which was issued on the Smekkleysa label. The BIS recording is a reissue.
