Got the shipping notice today, about 3 days ahead of the promised date. Supposed to land in two weeks (11/22).

Landed today, so 10 day transit time from Japan to Florida.

Went for the Reiner Box. Missing it when it was first released was a big mistake. 60+ discs for less than $10, worth the risk of sending my credit card into to a previously unknown (to me) site in Eastern Europe and FLAC files of slightly murky provenance.

Claudio Arrau Liszt (1991, Philips)

Picked up the 5 CD set from the Record Exchange for a few bucks (love how Arrau gets top billing - and rightly so  ). I think I've got the timing down on great set deals at that place. Just wish they'd beef up their jazz holdings, though they're probably among first to go.

Haven't gotten that far yet. The first 23 discs downloaded without a hitch. Now the download of disc 24 is hanging up. Probably internet traffic in the Czech Republic is picking up this time of day. Perseverance will be required.
