Well then here I go too!

Since the shipping is free and they don't charge sales tax, $49 for four discs. Also worth noting: if you input the free shipping code before choosing your shipping method, they'll let you do all levels of shipping free! (I'm not gonna risk it because I'll be out of town this weekend and don't need it sitting on my porch.)

The C major sonata Wq 163/1 is a really impressive thing. I shall have to explore the whole set now! Spanyi says in the notes that there's nothing "leichte" about playing them, and I think just listening demands attention too.

Interesting!  You would think that it would just be for whatever their "standard shipping" is (like as in UPS-ground)?  That could seriously hurt them if folks ordered "Next Day Air".

"Mrs Philharmonica" is the pseudonym for an otherwise unknown composer:

[From Wikipedia]

[The main reason to think the composer was a female seems to be the choice of a female-gendered pseudonym.]

Now to wait and see if Arkiv ships the order...

And it arrived today. Quite unexpectedly Arkivmusic had even sent an email saying it was shipped and providing a tracking number.
I don't remember the last time they did that.

You just knew that we were all going to be scratching our heads going "Does that say Mrs. Philharmonica?".

Hope that you enjoy them!

Well it does say that, because Mrs Philharmonica was an otherwise completely unknown composer from c 1715. Details (such as they are) in my original post.

This is the last CD of William Herschel's music that I am aware of that I did not already own!

After some contemplation I ended up buying the physical disc set:

In general Warner have been good with their recent remasterings of their treasure vault.
We audiophiles don't really like music, but we sure love the sound it makes;

During a recent conversation Mandryka mentioned these Württemberg Sonatas, and a remembered how much I like those sonatas in these performances (on harpsichord) by Bruno Procopio:
