Have you bought the newest one, then, Que? I only have the Richafort myself (so far..)

I bought in pretty random order. :) And the Richafort Requiem I had already by the Huelgas ensemble, so not an immediate priority for myself but the music is definitely a winner.

Well, the Webern was only $12 for the whole set -- and it wasn't even opened (this is a used CD store).

They also had the Bruckner/Jochum set for $18. I should have bought it...

Brian's announcement (quoting David Hurwitz) that a 10-CD box of Jean Martinon's RCA recordings will appear next year, led me to explore more of this conductor's legacy, and I've bought these four issues at a rather attractive price:

Roussel: Bacchus et Ariane (suites 1 & 2) and Le Festin de l'araignée

Excellent! Martinon is one of my favorite conductors. Always so consistent in his performances.

Very. The Britten, of course, is top-shelf.

Mullerin is top 10 stuff for me, and Winterreise close. So a happy find!

Anyone looking for recommendations there, I am a maverick and like Olaf Bär the best, on EMI.

And placed a massive order on MDT with much Schubert, Beethoven PCs and and a Desprez recording. Stay tuned, more about this later. :)

Going to listen to this Schubert S. recording now (and probably some jazz) before sleep.

I was sorely disappointed with the Freiburg Barockorchester version of symphonies 3 and 4. no legato, a dry, percussive sound, an asthmatic way with the phrasing. IOW very little affection for the lovely melodies. Hopefully Van Immerseel's way with the music is more alert to the beauties of the writing.

If my guesses at the German are right, I should expect these eventually:
Ernst TSCHIDERER  Symphonic Poems
SCHUMANN and RUFINATSCHA Piano concertos, Symphony no.2 and 2 Overtures At 7.50 € each for the export price the postage won't be such a big bite

Schumann, Symphonies 2 & 3 - Holliger

I already have zillions of recordings of these, but after listening to a few favorites they sounded -- and I hate this description -- dated.  So I wanted a really up to date recording, and this has gotten some very good reviews.
