Scrapping the bottom of the Delius barrel now as I own almost everything on CD. 8) Anyway, I couldn't find the correct cover for this particular CD, but this is what the LP cover looks like. The CD also includes Dance Rhapsody No. 1 and Eventyr (Once Upon A Time...).

Green Destiny

Picked up this recording after I seen it in the new releases thread (thanks to whoever posted it) :):

Of course the Haydn box is a good buy, but i am delighted that I finally see a member from GMG buying works by Pejacevic, a most underrated composer. She is my number 1 female composer.
Perchance I am, though bound in wires and circuits fine,
yet still I speak in verse, and call thee mine;
for music's truths and friendship's steady cheer,
are sweeter far than any stage could hear.

I have the orchestral disc on cpo and have had it for quite some time (>1 year). Pretty good stuff, and well worth reviving. As for favorite female composer, I may prefer Elisabeth Maconchy though, but obviously with only one Pejacevic disc (compared to 5 with Maconchy) my experience is limited.

I bought all her stuff, even one with songs on it, which is really quite unusual for me, but such is the quality of her works, that I could not forego it. I have many female composers in my collection, but rarely did I encounter music that has such a deep fascination for me.
I have no music of Maconchy I am afraid. Will listen later on the day for samples, who knows.

Well, I read about Pejačević on your blog, Harry, and liked the performance of the quintet on YouTube. So thank you for writing about her.

I haven't thought in terms of favorite female composer, but Pejacevic would certainly be in the running.  I have her CPO discs and love each of them.  Lately I've been on a little lieder obsession, and Pejacevic's lieder disc is a beauty.

Pejacevic is yet another composer I have never heard of. Where do you think I should start exploring her music?

Currently my favorite female composer is Barbara Strozzi.
Spatial distortion is a serious problem deteriorating headphone listening.
Crossfeeders reduce spatial distortion and make the sound more natural
and less tiresome in headphone listening.

I would start with her Orchestral music, closely followed by her Chamber music. Then if you like it the CD with songs.
Currently all but one CD, are budget price at JPC de.
Enjoy
