I think you are easily bored.

This is a really unnecessary comment. Your position was already perfectly clear. No need to get personal just because somebody disagrees with you over a recording.

I will determine myself what is necesarry or not.

His [Bostock's] Nielsen cycle with the RLPO is a case in point - perfectly good playing because its a very good orchestra but can anyone here really say with their hands on their hearts that they would choose Bostock in any of those symphonies over other versions - surely not

I have first and formost been occupied with Bostock's Espansiva. It is a very lyrical interpretation particularly the second movement. I think it captures the Danish spirit rather well, and it is among my five preferred recordings of this work, the others being Schønwandt, Frandsen, Oramo and Bernstein.
Reality trumps our fantasy far beyond imagination.

Harry -   I accept the Nielsen is competent because the orchestra is a good one.  Follow the scores of the Bax / RVW etc and you will find that the performances are generalised at best in interpretative terms.  Also the actual quality of the orchestral playing smacks of a 2nd tier orchestra playing unfamiliar repertoire on too few rehearsals.  That is an objective and not subjective comment.

A bit of a rarity. The composer Arthur Lourié will be new to me.

One of the people who has to read your stuff.

You sulk whenever you're not the centre of attention. This is a message board, not your blog.
Every single post on the forum is unnecessary. Including the ones that are interesting or useful.

Pounds the table! Great disc.

Just bought:

You can never have too many recordings of Janáček's piano music. This set seemed like a safe bet considering how impressed I've recently become with Páleníček's pianism.

Turns out that Momox aka Medimops.de screwed things up by jamming the entire order in a big padded envelope that was NOT properly closed. ...

By the time it arrived to my home, everything was lost, except for three remaining items: the Van Asperen, the Sei Voci Fabri and the Ronsard Poems...

A major dissapointment, and so unnecessary..... ??? I just sent them a furious email.....

Q

I had some major issues with them some time ago, also relating to inadequate packing of the items. I refrained since then ordering with them.
I am very sorry to hear this Que. Very annoying indeed.

Fortunately FALSE alarm!  :)
Though Momox indicated there would be a single package, DHL was just on my doorstep to deliver two more envelopes with the other items.
The condition on the Telemann Ino is pretty bad though... I need a replacement for that.

Recently, I just had some problem with them too.  It may have to do with the shipping process.  I am still waiting for a partial order.  If it eventually comes, I will still use them because they  collect OOP cds and resell them for a modest price.

The new erato

I just played the Telemann double CD. The "Gerichts" is stunning, Ino not so much.
