I used to use Zoverstocks, but a few packages never showed up and I lost confidence in them. OxfordshireEngland has become my default UK based marketplace seller. They seem to have equivalent pricing. In the US importcd and Classical Music Superstore are my default choices, although often I buy used CDs from random sellers, as long as they have good feedback.
There's one called mad music (I think) that has been excellent, with fast shipping and used quality as good or better than marked. I don't see them very often though.
Be kind to your fellow posters!!

Ordered Sunday night, dispatched Monday, received Tuesday  ???

I raided a batch of deeply discounted discs at Amazon, all eligible for free delivery:

Except for the last item (10.59$), all were in the 3-5$ bracket, and all but one have jumped in price since ordering, in the 15$-26$ bracket. All told, I paid 40$, taxes included, shipped free.

Similar to my experiences with this seller. Within about sixteen months four out of ten packages never arrived. So I do not use them any more.

Odd, they had been very reliable for years before the failures started.

Here's a new puzzle. First amazon changed my search from "bach faust" to "bach faucet." After I resolved that I got:

[asin]B017C1C8R2[/asin]

The front cover posted on amazon says BWV1001-1003, the back cover says BWV1001-1006, total time 2' 9", the amazon data says 1 disc. What to believe?

André

Product Details mention « 1 disc », but the Editorial Review mentions « now available complete at a special price ». I'd say you'll get all 6. Buy with confidence.

In her first recording of these works she started with 1004-1006; then a year later she came back and did 1001-1003 (the one you posted).

According to amazon, that's this one:

[asin]B007X98S82[/asin]

Notice cover is similar, but not quite the same.

I'm sure HM made a two disc set with a similar cover (released in 2016), but given the contradictory information in the product specs, its not guaranteed which on is in Amazon's warehouse sorting bin in a fulfillment center somewhere out in the middle of nowhere.

I tend to thinking Andre is right, but it is on backorder for 5 weeks anyway...

Tricky business. The cover of the second volume is almost identical to the cover of the complete set, except it hasn't "1001 - 1003" on it. But the back, as you noticed, is different.
But Amazon obviously mixed-and-matched front and back covers. On German Amazon, a customer who bought the disc in question reported getting Volume II, not the complete set.
UK costumers report the complete set -- but those weren't verified purchases. (Who thought that factoid might come in handy, one day?!)

I have the Postnikova/Rozhdestvensky recordings of the PCs in a different incarnation (without the VC filler). Great stuff!

In view of recent revelations, I wonder if she is one of the anonymous accusers in the sexual abuse report.

I don't think amazon mixed and matched front and back covers, the image is cropped differently in the 2-disc set (with the text 1001-1003 that doesn't match the back). I think it was a typo, but probably it is moot, since it seems to be a limited edition promotional release (bundled with a Harmonia Mundi catalog) and since it is out-of-stock I suspect it will not become available instead. No matter, my desire to purchase it was transient.

I heard the First PC on YouTube. Loved Postnikova and Rozh's broad tempo in the first movement. Had to buy it.

I hope not...not for his sake but for hers. I'd like to think she didn't have to endure sexual harassment.

An excellent set. I'm sure you'll enjoy it !

Thanks, Andre. I love Finzi's choral music and this was a good deal so I couldn't pass it up.
