I was not aware of this very interesting box. Thanks a lot.

(I already have their Bazzini quartets).

Andrei, thank Karl.  He was the one that pointed it out to me.  There is tons of string quartet music on there that I have not heard yet, ever.  (Boccherini, Bazzini, Respighi, Malipiero).  Looking forward to receiving this!

Okay then. Thank you, Karl.

Boccherini's SQs are sheer delight, just like everything he wrote. I don't know this particular recording, though.

For many years I've been content to listen to this through a copy made by a friend. I was finally able to get it 'new' at a reasonable price. Such a wonderful work !

An indulgence to be sure, but I couldn't resist buying this, my favourite solo violin work played by my favourite violinist !

Karajan is pretty much my favorite conductor of Wagner's music. He's been my go-to for Der Ring and Parsifal, so I'm going to assume the same will hold true for Tristan und Isolde.

Today some orders went out to JPC de & Amazon France.

From Amazon France I bought Book I and II with music from Marin Marais by L' Acheron, Book III I purchased from JPC de.

Like the previous releases in that series, the Onslow is excellent.

A very delightful CD IMO.

The samples sounded good, and since there are not many such CD'S around I picked it up.

Yes just because the previous Onslow's were so good, this 4th volume came as a welcome visitor.

I was incredibly impressed with this duo of Shirai/Holl in the Schoenberg and Berg recordings and the Strauss sounded equally as lovely.

Not so much "annoy" as "completely bemuse".
