Just ordered:

There's a seller on eBay with quite a few volumes apparently in pretty good condition at not unreasonable prices, including these ones I didn't yet have. Several factors sealed the deal: 1. Buying them together saves a significant amount on postage, 2. The auctions were technically ending in a few hours, though it's highly likely they would just be relisted, and 3. I grew sick of waiting for an alternative seller of one of them on Discogs who just won't respond to a question.

I might possibly add another to this list from a different seller. EDIT: No, not just yet.

But a taste (the latest Presto sale is out of this world):

Mister Sharpe

A visit to my local public library yielded this for 50 cents. I confess to being a bit played-out on The Adagio, though it continues to impress (and sometimes depress).  Was curious about all its incarnations contained herein.

Blast it!  I paid $13 a while back.  The playing is refined to the Nth degree.

An intriguing mixed rep disc.

So wait... they don't actually give you the full string quartet from which it originally comes?

That's a bit sad.

Agree, inexcusable really, but RCA execs must have assumed that Adagio fans would want just that and only that; forget about expanding listeners' horizons. It gets worse: RCA could not be troubled to list the dates of recordings (other than the organ version) and despite the Adagio's rich history and its extraordinary cultural impact, not one word is shared in the booklet about it. A shame and shameful.

Two cheapo Naxos CDs as part of a larger order from a Swedish Discogs seller:

Romeo Cascarino - Pygmalion etc. - Naxos 8.559266 - 3.92 €
Igor Stravinsky - Pulcinella & Dances Concertantes - Naxos 8.553181 - 2.94 €
Shipping was 5 € for the whole order (4 CDs in all).

Romeo Cascarino's music sounded pretty pleasant when I listened it in Spotify. My Stravinsky collection is very small (2 CDs). Adding this one helps a lot.
Spatial distortion is a serious problem deteriorating headphone listening.

Staggered for convenience, lol.

Mister Sharpe

I think I might be happiest when buying classical CDS. These, from the "upscale resale shoppe" I frequent, $2 each. They actually had to urge me out of the store this afternoon, "It's closing time, we didn't know you were back here, you're so quiet."  Guess I should signal my presence with a beep from time to time or break out in song...Part I :

Just bought.

Mint copy on eBay.

Only 15 volumes to go. Or 16 with the imminent release of the next one, but I won't need to angle for that until there's a few new ones. Mind you, I reckon at least 6-8 of those remaining 15 will be pretty challenging to find.

Of all the ones that Europadisc couldn't get hold of, this is the one that rather surprised me because it was only released in 2023, far more recently than all the other ones causing any difficulty. It would appear that Biondi has a strong following, and while it's not that hard to find copies (albeit a bit more expensive than the standard single CD price), it's still interesting that "Violino XI" is already more valuable than Violino VII, VIII, IX and X.
