Madiel

Just ordered.

New and sealed. The most expensive single disc yet, not because of the base price but because the UK version of eBay international shipping charges like a wounded bull. I ended up deciding just to wear those costs.

There was also a pretty good used copy but I seem to be at the point of embracing that I can afford to splurge within reason. I mean technically I could afford to splurge outside of reason for these last few, I'm just not going to give the crazy sellers the satisfaction.

Two more I might buy later today. Then I might be out of non-crazy options for now.

Decided I need a sonic upgrade on these three Strauss operas.  Plus these will have booklets so I won't need to rely on Wikipedia to know what's going on in the opera.

All used copies from Amazon Marketplace.

Mister Sharpe

I am going to Vintage Vinyl on Thursday this week! In keeping with my wife's dictum to listen to the News less and to Music more, I may part with some dollars.  We will see.  I might take photos of my visit, so you can come along with.

There have been some absolutely stunning Naïve Vivaldi covers, but this one may beat all, IMHO.

If you're picking up fortepiano recordings, you're heading in a different direction.  :P

And yet, *Guarneri* sounds unmistakably Italian.

Yes, hence not claiming that today/s purchase is completely un-Italian.  ;D
