Murray Perahia: THE FIRST 40 YEARS (Sony)

Been shillyshallying over this for many months, but even adjusting for duplications etc, it's a good deal.
The price via Amazon US direct fell to $55.50 just recently, which is a bit cheaper than I have ever seen it.

At that price Brian should be buying.

IIRC he got it about the same time I did.

The Perahia box? I've got it; listened to half of it. So far, so good.

Thanks for that update Octave. That is an amazing deal for Perahia's recordings. Too bad I am not as patient as you were..     :'(

Seems like several of the Sony Classical boxes dropped over night:

I have almost no Horowitz in my collection, so I got this while the getting is good.  Kinda spendy, though, at almost two bucks a disc . . .

A surprisingly good Don Carlo, which I like as much as the Solti and the Giulini.

Finally, I add "La Valse" to my collection. :-[

Hmm, interesting. I am pretty unfamiliar with Walton's works.  So much to listen to....
You should post this on SDCB Ken?
