Astonished that neither of you have the S-C.
But at least you are in capable hands with Jarvi and Wallfisch. I have it with Chang/Pappano and Capucon/Gergiev.

I did not want a 50 disc box.  I did want Malcolm Binns' LvB cycle, cycle #88, so I ordered it.  The 41 extra discs are either gravy or dead weight.  I'll see.  Or hear.

Just bought:

Don't know the recording but Honegger imo is one of the best symphonists of the 20th century. Tell us what you think of the interpretation!

Will do, but Deneve is up against some stiff competition. HvK's performances of the 2nd and Liturgique are my references for these two symphonies.

I tend to find Karajan pretty meh in most stuff, however the Honegger is certainly one exception.

Everything I've heard from Tishchenko have been at least very interesting, his violin concerto no 2 is a blockbuster and these sonatas also seem to rate highly on the originality scale:

Nice, so do I ! :)

Whenever I am in the mood for some new Vivaldi I pick one from the series that is still on the wishlist. :D

One of the few series I collect separately... Of course a foolish to do... ::)
But this is Naive..one of the most unreliable companies when it comes to reissues...

There will never be a boxed set unless somebody buys the individual issues....... ::)

Just delivered by a pretty girl, this monster of a box. I gave her some coffee to get over the burden of carrying it.
What a nicely made box, with a big book inside, and a promise of lots of goodies I did not hear before.
85 cd's for 80 euros, is a steal, even you already have some of the discs.

I've begun to explore Ginastera more beyond his concertante works recently....how is the Serenata?
I just ordered it yesterday (it's a CD-R produced by Amazon). Will report whn it arrives. Did you find the samples spotify intereting, COAG? I don't use that platform...

Spatial distortion is a serious problem deteriorating headphone listening.
Crossfeeders reduce spatial distortion and make the sound more natural
and less tiresome in headphone listening.

Yes I loved it! It hints towards even later avant-garde movements in classical music I suppose. I will definitely buy a recording of this when I can.
