I couldn't open that one, Mike - it opens to a 'desktop' and whilst I could see the video, I could not get it (or any of the others) to open.

BTW, I must also thank Mike for posting that video. I have not paid attention to Couperin, Jr.'s vocal works, as I'm currently more into those for harpsichord.

I'm looking for something with a large choral presence, and a church-like sound. Big and Catholic in nature. It doesn't all have to be choral, but a good part would be wonderful.

Handel's Messiah springs to mind but I was wondering if you could suggest an alternative/addition?

Better handle Handel with care
because his Messiah isn't catholic!
But that would be reacting like a precisian prick
and besides: Handel wouldn't care.



Early baroque and very catholic: Monteverdi's Vespro della Beata Vergine.
Gardiner's live performance (Archiv) was recorded in the San Marco in Venice and therefore adds a very spatial church-like acoustics and atmosphere.
