Hi,

This is my first post, and I don't want to say much. Below, you can (if you wish) listen to some of music created by me. Both have the same melody with small variation. I want to know if you find any interesting ideas in my music or not. Also, do you think that I can say that I am a composer?

Thanks,

Not finished: harb, strings, and woody bass

Here is an another variation from the first one: pinao and strings

without having to hear your works, i can say that, as long as you create orignial music by yourself, you are a composer (atleast that's my definition)

I have a pet pet peeve about listening to unfinished works, the likes of Bruckner's 9th and Mahler's 10th drives me crazy...

that being said, the music is quite nice, reminds me of a film score, the background music that adds emotional effect.

is that what you were shooting for? write film music?

Actually, what I aim for is to make my music have an emotional effect and you were right in this  ;) but I never thought of it as a file bg. I may be a little pet greedy asking about the intorduction of the music for the first Ver. don't you think it starts in a sudden fashion? For the second Ver. I did a small additional introduction to the frist Ver. to overcome the sudden fashion.

Sometimes, I find difficulty in understanding what most of composers say about the principles or basics of composing music. This becuase my background in this is ZERO. I don't know how to read or write scores, but I like listening to the music especially the emotional ones and the ones that have the feeling of the magic of East.

well, to be a composer, whether serious or not, you must do a minimal amount of learning, you simply won't go very far without learning the fundamentals of music theory.

for that purpose i recommend musictheory.net, it's a good starting point for beginners like you.

hope this helps
