Great music, great film too although I don't watch it too often.

On my list of great PG albums too.

The finale of the exploding rocket is brilliant. Musically,visually and metaphorically.

Although the scores for the two follow up films are nice, the films don't compare to the overall impact of Koyaanisqatsi.

The film also begins with that rocket taking off. It seems to be a metaphor for our civilization going up and down in a big arc...

And as with so many artists in many of the arts they only find something really special at limited points in their lives- their technical command stays fine or even improves but that curious insight can be so hard to find at will...
