Kilar's 'Angelus' is a wonderful score, very much in the spirit of Gorecki's 'Symphony of Sorrowful Songs'. It is on Naxos:

I like very much his Piano Concerto (his only work I've ever heard).

So he died recently? Sad news. May God rest his soul.

The film music with Dracula on is excellent, especially 'Death and the Maiden' (see above).

I'll be attending a concert next month that opens with Kilar's "Orawa". I was previously unfamiliar with the piece (as well as the composer) but I found an on-line performance that I thoroughly enjoyed. I'd appreciate recommendations for a recording if anyone has one.
