Zallinger finished the the 30 metre Age of Reptiles mural for the Yale Peabody Museum in Connecticut in 1947. Research since then has slightly dated his work but some of it captures that fascinating alien character of the immense beasts; these below I think are from the early 60s. Sorry the images aren't so large- dinosaurs are among the many threats to Chinese national security here and sites are banned.

Any thoughts on the aesthetics of dinosaurs or explaining why they evoke such interest, and where the aura around them comes from?

Plus this one of course...

Chinese Nat'l security and dinosaurs?  I have those pix in a small book I got as a child.  It was great to read and look at the illustrations.

Before Noah's Flood, there was a water canopy around the Earth's atmosphere, making it a green house (then cracked by a meteor?). Lizards keep growing their whole life, so, dinosaurs are just very old geckos!! See?, that was easy!! Next?
