The Opening Credits begin at 5:16 in the YT video for an old Spanish Horror Movie, 'The Werewolf vs. the Vampire Woman' (cheezy fun!). The theme, though, sounds like beer hall music. Surely you know what to call this sub-jazzy bowling music.

This is interesting! : the composer is Anton Garcia Abril.  I have a few of his symphonic works and enjoy especially " Nocturnos de la Antequeruela (for piano and stringorchestra) 1996.

The music he wrote for this werewolf film reminds of Nino Rota ( in early Fellini), Angelo Francesco Lavagnino, Riz Ortolani etc. Possibly Michel Magne....

Yes, thank you. It has such a...uh...'Neopolitan'?? feel. So many '60s Movies have that musical feel. Yes, so, I'll have to do some digging! It really IS shocking that this horror movie starts off with these gory killings, and then, poof!, here comes this 'happy' music??? Who does that???? hahaha

I think our band is going to have to vamp on this, haha!!

btw- yes, now the name Abril is resounding from Halffter/Marco/De Pablo research... Lopez Lopez...

Ah, those samples caused a flashback, haha!! GREAAAT STUFF!! Especially the sci-fi Italian, that was very much like the Abril.

In the sixties French filmmusic ( possibly italian and spanish aswell) often was played by a (small) orchestra, enhanced by drums, Hammond organ ( or other great divices such as the Philicorda or the Ondioline) babbling  female backing vocals . I seem to remember that italian filmdirectors ( as in some of the Ursus movies) shamelesly mixed neo-Biblical pomp with that "twittering" pseudo-jazzy music.
Some of these films are totally silly and outrageous (Ursus e la Ragazza Tartara, Gli Invincibili Tre, Zorro contro Maciste, Maciste contro el sheik etc.) but gave countless European youths great fun.

Mayby something to discover:  concerto for jazzband and symphony orchestra by Rolf Liebermann, the "Concerto jazz" by Roger Roger  & his orchestra,Emile Deltour's Concertino in jazz for harp & orchestra...

I have this jazzy Harpsichord Concerto by Joseph Horvitz that sounds a bit like 'The Munster' theme, what a hoot!!

Yea, I'm so glad we found each other here, haha! I'd love to know exactly what year the drum set and funky Hammond and Farfisa (ALWAYS WITH A FLUTE!!!),... oh, and every now and then you get that classic electric guitar twang or the computer bleeps in the sci-fi. I always love the cheezy electric bass guitars... all this music starts to be alongside the Hendrix and all and there's all this bleed through... free jazz...

ahhhhh,... the '60s,... Italy...

nap time!!
