I had a minor disaster late yesterday afternoon, when I carelessly lost all my colour corrected setting on 400+ images >:( :-[ :'( Trying to hurry to get the last bit finished and one mistake and 'poof' they're gone.

So, what I'm doing now is a repeat of yesterdays work >:(

I actually resolved this issue yesterday which was a relief; now I know what to do if theres a 'next time' :)

Best wishes to Marks brother and family :)

Scraping the black off my teapot. The burner suddenly caught fire.

Best wishes to Marks brother and family :)

Thanks, Chris.

Sadly, the news is the worst possible. My niece was born with a very rare genetic disorder called Patau's Syndrome. Under most circumstances, children who have this don't make it to birth. Those that do (around 1 in every 4000-8000) will live often no longer than a month. My brother's baby won't even make it that far, as doctors have no option in this case but to allow little Lola to die within the next couple of days.

It's horribly sad for the whole family, and I'm particularly wishing my brother and his partner all the strength to see them through such a terrible time. :(

Oh Mark, I'm so sorry to hear this. I'll be thinking of you and your family.

Sorry to hear this Mark :( And Lola, such a beautiful name. In fact I recommended the very same name for my soon to be born niece :(

Oh Mark, so very sad...  So very sorry, and hope you and they find whatever is needed to make it through this.

And I agree, it's a beautiful name...

Cheers, Bruce. Yes, a good choice of name (Lola Florence). They're having her Christened before the terrible, inevitable moment arrives.

No, I mean it wouldn't, in the least. The recommendation did not go very well  :-\ The family tradition is apparently that the first born daughter/son gets name from the grandmother/father from the father's side. So the name is to start with an "N" for sure.

Oh Mark, I'm so very sorry to hear this. Poor little soul. I wish you and your family strength and courage to get through this.(((Mark)))

Feeding the skinny cat I found panting in the morning heat outside of my apartment building. I've seen her around before but this time she ran to me, meowing pathetically. When I picked her up I found she was full of milk, so I'm not sure if I should bring her to the animal shelter, as she could have babies somewhere that need to be fed.  :(

Your kindness to an animal in need here has shot you up to the top of my cool-meter Kull.

Mich auch!

Kullervo

Thank you. :) If I lived alone, it wouldn't be a problem keeping her (unless she has kittens somewhere, then the only problem would be finding them), but I have a roommate and her two cats are not happy with the newcomer. :( I'm moving to a new apartment soon, but I'm not sure if I can afford the "pet fees" that these bastard landlords have around here.

Kullervo

As you can see, she's already made herself quite comfortable. ;D
