I'm sure they're right. You must prepare. I have my own way of doing that, though, which isn't entirely in line with stocking up on ammo and canned goods. What I do instead is nothing. That's the plan, Stan, to do nothing as hard as I can for as long as it takes.

Always nice to find another kindred spirit.  ;D

Daylight Saving Time in the US ended a few hours ago, making my last shift of the workweek one hour longer. So, I'm grousing about that a bit.  ::)

But in approximately two hours my usual eggs will be waiting, hidden today inside a 🦀 omelet. After that a hot bath with a little 80-proof company, so l expect to be feeling much better.  8)

Hopefully overtime at least?

I'm sure that he appreciated your support; that was good of you to go.

OK get this you'll love this.  ???

I bought 18 shares of NVDA.

    I mean how.....what??....

I can explain, I think. I'm not a contrarian. I don't think what the majority thinks should cause me to think otherwise. Something else might, but not that. So I bought a popular stock not even in spite of that, but because I judge NVDA will continue to grow past the tech bust when that comes.

I hopped over to Edinburgh on my PC to watch the first episode of Wolf Hall II: The Adventure Continues. The Bullen has been chopped and Jane is queen. I stopped after a few minutes because Someone Else wants to watch, too.

Other means must be used. My TV doesn't teleport, and even if it could the BBCiPlayer won't install on my elderly model.

Augh!  Sorry to hear that!  Do you have Windows or a Mac...or another system?

It's so wonderful to watch a gentle snowfall come down and coat the ground and the trees--magical and pristine.

The BBCiPlayer works fine on my Windows machine. I can't install the app on my old TV.

Laundry going. While I wait for washer, I'm having coffee and reading a bit of baseball history on my Kindle.

I don't have a fireplace. We do what we can, thanks to YouTube. It's gently playing Christmas carols on piano. I just wish it also included the crackling fire sound.

Doing some laundry here too plus general cleaning/tidying up and starting to haul down some of the Christmas decorations.  Busy, busy!

Need to get some food into me then back at it.

So I got a haircut this morning at Floyd's. It's a barbershop chain, and it's a little more expensive than the place I usually go. But I like it and go there sometimes -- and I was running errands right by it today. I have not been there in awhile.

Buzz cut and goatee trim. No wash or shoulder massage or anything special.

$50.

Sigh. I told the poor stylist woman while I was paying that it would be the last time I would be coming in.

Everything's going up.  :(  Last I knew (in my area), a male friend paid $25 just for a haircut (no wash).  He doesn't have a beard.  I don't know whether or not that included the tip?  I'll have to double check with him.

My $50 did not include the tip, which I did add on because it's not this woman's fault.

The place I normally go is an honest-to-goodness small independent barbershop, and they charge almost half that much for the same service. It's a good reminder that I should continue to support that place, and not this one. :-\

One of the " advantages " in being old and ugly is the option to space out haircuts and such at very wide intervals. $25 at Supercuts every four months or so, whether I need it or not.  ;D
