Yeah, but that song sounds like it would be alot of fun!

Fretting about my brother's new-born baby. She was delivered earlier today by emergency c-section, but she'd stopped breathing because the cord was wound tightly round her throat. Also, she has a cleft palate, and an extra finger on each hand (please, no inappropriate remarks >:(), and may also have brain damage. She's on a respirator, and doctors have said she may not live longer than a month. It's very sad - and it's my brother's birthday tomorrow.

Thanks, Chris. It all sounds terrible, but let's hope it's not as bad as feared. :)

Dude this type of thing just creeps me out. I wish I didn't read it. Can you imagine waiting months and months for a baby only for that to happen...gosh Im never having children.

I'm praying for your family at Mass later today. Just wrote myself a note.

Thanks, Andy.

There's been an update. Some tests were done today, and my niece appears to be responding to touch, her bowels are okay, her major organs (other than her heart) are in the right place, and she's currently undergoing brain tests. They begin the genetic disorder testing tomorrow. As far as the heart goes, this should be okay once they've 'replumbed' it. She's in neo-natal care, and although she had a slight fit last night, she appears at present to be a little fighter. We can only watch and wait ...

Oh how terrible, Mark.  I will hope for good news...and let your family know that people here are thinking about them.

Cheers, Bruce. There are a lot of folks hoping this poorly little girl will pull through. :)

I had a minor disaster late yesterday afternoon, when I carelessly lost all my colour corrected setting on 400+ images >:( :-[ :'( Trying to hurry to get the last bit finished and one mistake and 'poof' they're gone.

So, what I'm doing now is a repeat of yesterdays work >:(

Wishing my brother and his partner all the best luck in the world, as today they learned that the prognosis for their very sick baby girl isn't looking good. She may have a very rare genetic disorder. The test results will be in on Thursday. :(

I was going to say I'm bored at work and doing basically nothing, but now I'm hoping that Mark's niece will pull through.
