I watched all of Community this summer, and have to agree that it is indeed awesome!

Top three ways to find relief from the heat (not counting a/c):
1. a gentle breeze
2. a cold pop
3. shade

Top three ways to feel happy about returning home:
1. someone to happily greet you, even if it's just your pet dog
2. a package waiting at your door
3. walking out of the heat into the a/c

Top three things I like about my new cd player:
1. It loads and starts playing a cd in roughly 10 seconds instead of a minute
2. Can quickly program tracks
3. Can see all relevant info without turning on the tv

Excellent  :)

Dan Harmon, the show's original creator, has been re-hired and will produce the fifth season. That should mean, I hope, better episodes than the somewhat disappointing fourth season. On the other hand, with Chevy Chase and Donald Glover gone, the show is going to have a different feel.

Community episodes
1. The one where Annie loses her pen
2. The first paintball episode
3. Troy turns 21

Community cast members
1. Donald Glover
2. Danny Pudi
3. Gillian Jacobs call me (and bring Alison)

Problems I have with Community
1. Chevy Chase's character is so consistently poorly written that I feel sorry for him because the writers so obviously didn't care to make him more than a cartoon "grumpy old man" villain
2. A lot of humor is built on references I don't get. Some episodes are parodies of movies I haven't seen, and I'm annoyed to miss half the jokes.
3. The show often has an uneasy relationship between making fun of cliches, and indulging in them.

Community episodes
1. A Fistfull of Paintballs (the spaghetti western/Sergio Leone parody)
2. Advanced Dungeons and Dragons
3. Critical Film Studies (the homage to My Dinner with Andre)

Community cast members
1. Annie's Boobs (and no, I don't mean the monkey  :D )
2. Danny Pudi (Abed)
3. Jim Rash (the Dean)

Problems I don't have with Community
1. Chevy Chase's character is so consistently evil I can't believe he was permitted to be in the group.....but I don't care  ;)
2. A lot of humor is built on references I do get. Some episodes are parodies of movies I have seen, and I'm pleased I get the jokes.
3. The show often exploits cliches in a way that makes them fresh and humorous.

Well, we at least have similar taste on the show - I seriously considered D&D and Film Studies for my top three. We're agreed on Annie's Boobs too.

Maybe it's a weird choice, but this is my favorite moment from the show.

Do you listen to podcasts? Gillian Jacobs recently made a series of appearances on the improv podcast "Comedy Bang! Bang!" with comedian Paul F. Tompkins, who was impersonating Happy Days creator Garry Marshall. Over three or four episodes, "Gilly and Garry" fell in love, murdered Garry's wife, got married, and split up (all through improv). If you're interested I'll dig up the links.
