I'm travelling to Canada next year and hope to be able to attend a complete Ring Cycle somewhere either in Canada [Vancouver] or the West Coast of America.

Are there timetables for this somewhere on-line? I can't find such a thing.

Any suggestions would be welcome :)

I can't find any complete Ring Cycles scheduled in North America next year.

There are performances of Die Walküre at the Met in January/February and Das Rheingold is being performed in San Francisco in June.

Not much luck here either!  :(

Checked our Seattle Opera schedule, no Ring and the only Wagner they have is Der Fliegende Holländer.

You could keep checking this web search engine from time to time, to see if there are any updates. As Ring Cycles are such huge events, they are usually scheduled years in advance, so it's unlikely that anything will turn up for next year - but you never know ..............

Well, I guess one of them would still be worthwhile :)

Yes, I believe Seattle Opera perform the complete cycle on a regular basis so I actually had them in mind. :)

True, they had it in London this year. Hmmm :(

Have you watched the Met Ring on DVD?  If you can't find a live one, maybe the DVD's would be ok, at least for now.

Yes I have it, but I haven't watched it yet ;D

We won't be travelling for 12 months so I'll be ready for a live interpretation by then.

I detest travelling so if I'm going half way around the world [to visit my wifes elderly parents] I may as well make it worthwhile by doing something that I actually want to do! ;)

Maybe its a bit optimistic to hope for the complete Ring Cycle next June/July.

Actually Die Walkure in SF or similiar would be good too.

:)
