Must have been those alien experiments again. When they messed up Lennon's doppleganger, they had to 'fix' their mistake - permanently. Yeah, that's what must have happened. I'm surprised they didn't start with Elvis though!! :)

The author apparently does not know what a supergroup is, either, since he refers to The Beatles as "the world's first supergroup."  So, whether it's a joke or serious, it's low-grade stuff.
