Can't your parents do it? You literally know no one with an OK credit history?

My parents have terrible credit, and I don't have any real close older people friends with good credit to back me up. My uncle could and would if my dad hadn't used him for a car loan and ruined his credit. And my credit is heading for the toilet after building it up for 2 years all for a simple not being able to pay my cell phone bill.

You don't need a co-sign for all student loans. Look around, check into federal loans and grants.

You don't even need a co-signer for private educational loans. With a co-signer you might get a lower interest rate, but you can certainly get student loans without one.

You do need your parents tax information, which is my problem. Thats as far as I know, what the financial aid people have told me. When I am 25 I won't need it anymore.

That its better being alive than dead  :)
How am I supposed to do that?  Die and come back to life?

Besides, with death, there really isn't no life, so therefore, being alive is better than being dead

The way to have a "happy" life is to keep your aspirations, expectations and goals at a relatively low level. That's NOT to say that you should ever settle for extended periods of unhappiness or that you should not strive to improve your economic condition.

Give up the goals of being a millionaire.

Find a job in which you are comfortable, enjoy the work, get along well with your colleagues and which pays you enough to pay YOUR bills, with a little left aside for lifes "perks". Stop dreaming about being "in charge". living in a large house, in a prime location, with megabucks in the bank and at your disposal.  For 99.9% of the worlds population that's an unfulfillable dream. Stop dreaming about being married to the worlds most beautiful woman (or handsomnest man). Try to find a "significant other" with whom you are happy, shares roughly the same goals, and is not a whiner. Have as many children as your life style and income can comfortably support. But don't you DARE have more children than you can "provide for" in EVERY way. And to me, that means right THROUGH the college years.
Realize that illness and other unforseen problems may put roadblocks down on your path to nirvana. Well, as they say "that's life" or "the luck of the draw". You just have to persevere and carry on. Live a life, so that when you are gone, people will think of you, and miss you.
And finally, keep your wits about you and your head screwed on straight.
"Good", is NOT good enough, when "better" is expected

Haffner- unity with woman is next to unity with God.
i guess that explains why i've never felt close to God....

Counting my blessings always helps me when I'm dissatisfied.  My friend's know me for often remarking, "Well, at least I'm not pregnant!" As I am a teenager on the threshold of the "real world", to me that circumstance would be absolutely devastating to my future.

Yesterday I actually watched a show on TV about prison. Whether the inmates deserve it or not, they are all in a miserable and immensely dangerous place. Some of them, (supposedly the worst ones who live in an isolated building, SecurityMax) literally will never see the light of day again.  They'll never see a tree, or a flower, or even a blade of grass. It would seem that they have no hope.

Odds are somebody has it so much worse than you do. I've realized that, and I'm sure everyone else here has too.  The circumstances of those prisoners makes my blood run cold.

nah, but he claims to be God  ;D

i tell him "if you're God, why don't you live in a mansion instead of a cardboard box?" He starts crying and says, "wellllllll....... i like it here."
While he walks back to his box, he sees a drunk guy peeing on it. Happens every time......

That's true, but since I quite constantly violate this norm..

Sorry I missed you. I'll try to do better next time.

Sound advice, Iago.

A millionaire, me? My only desire atm is to go to school and focus on my education. I don't care if I end up as a teacher anymore, it actually seems to be a good choice. I can study what I want, have a decent job with good salary, and since I won't ever have a kid I can enjoy life more. My French teacher every summer goes on vacation all over the world, seems like he has a nice life. Well he does sacrifice alot during the other 9 months of the year to enjoy that lifestyle but I think its worth it.

We can see you are taking your own advice and aiming low.

I am content with where I am at now, because it could be (and has been) much worse.

I could be more proactive to improve some areas of my life, but sometimes it is nice to take a close look at what you have, and enjoy it for what it is.

so overall, not necessarily overly happy, but content. That will do me !

Just proves what M said about you, that you're like a monkey who gets frustrated because he tries to people on people but misses all the time and ends up peeing on himself. Oh well....  ;D

but yeah, your advice was good, although it's depressing... reality is depressing...

good advice, too...... entertainment keeps your mind away from reality, which is depressing
