My little Frenzel amp will soon be ready and ship. My Pinkster guitar is progressing nicely and I should get it in a month, more or less. Now all I need to do is find a little speaker cab, maybe one with a 3 piece back so I can use it open or closed, open for guitar, closed for bass. Then I'll have my Voxmonster on my tone ring cab with a heavy-ish duty speaker (the Utah) and the little Frenzel will perch on a little cab with my JBL. Nothing gets blown up. The kind of cab I have in mind is:

Stop the presses, get me rewrite.....

My bass is the single pickup version. Guild has finally, belatedly decided that the dual pickup version is what so many vintage heads want. What took them so long? Anyway, I'm preordering. Then I'll decide which one I keep.

See it, hear it, want it:

I have my little Frenzel amp (25 watts) so I took the Voxmonster to the shipyard for restoration.

Vee vill come out through the Denmark Straits and destroy ze British convoys...

Maybe vee vill, maybe I'll sell the Vox to a Beatlemaniac. It's so damn heavy, just shlepping it across the street from the car was a chore.

A 40 watt Frenzel would be the same size as my pocket battleamp plus 1 lb for the bigger transformers.

Now I think of it, I could as easily sink Allied shipping play as loud as I want with the Frenzels as with the Vox, and I wouldn't have to take care of a museum piece. I'd miss the top boost tone stacks and wrong way bass knobs.
