Also, personal bias. I am an American and I have a soft spot for Finland, hehe.

An American still using NOKEA?

I haven't used any Nokia products in probably 10 years. Maybe it's all the Finnish music I've listened to, or just a general love of the country.

Women's hockey final didn't end as USA wished it would have :D

The Americans better beat those Canadians tomorrow. That ending to the women's final was absolutely brutal. That post hit on the empty net was painful to see, also. Would have all but sealed a US win. Also, some of the US chances at the beginning of overtime were ridiculous.

The women's final was indeed a dramatic game, that post hit was something else.

Finland really should have scored when they had that 5-on-3 power play. -.-

Olympic hockey doesn't really start until US Canada.

My money is on Quickie to have a great game and a 4:1 US victory.

This will be the one time I root for Jonathan Quick. I normally hate the Kings with a passion. I am just hoping Canada's forwards don't wake up and swiss cheese him. Quick can steal a game, but he can also put in a stinker every now and then.

You think there will be more goals in the third period?

Are the two goalies going for the best combined save percentage? It is at 98.4% at the moment.

Good game regardless of which side you support.

Quickie deserves better, though.

Canada 1-0 final!

Canada vs. Sweden in the final.  :)

Well, you just missed an opportunity to see Teemu play Team Canada!

:(  Yes.  It was really unfortunate that Finland couldn't dress Rask in goal, due to his flu bug.  Don't know if it would have made a difference?  Perhaps.  Finland's Lehtinen played very well in relief.

The Six

Only one NHL team is guaranteed to get gold, silver, and bronze medals, because they have players that are on all 4 finalists: Sweden, Finland, USA, Canada. (Hint: It's not the Jets)

Lehtonen ;)

It was too bad that Rask had flu, but that didn't really matter at all, as all three of the Finnish goalies are great. The offensive playing, esp. on power play, was far too weak, and there were too many mistakes in defense. Finland will have to play a lot better to make sure Teemu, Olli Jokinen, Sami Salo, and Kimmo Timonen finish their games in the Finnish national team with medals.

Atta boy, Price! Quick was amazing, though - could've been a blowout without him.
