Exciting!

Just as a I thought. Hahn is performing the Nielsen VC more and more which tells me she may have already recorded it or is getting ready to go into the studio.

This picture of Maestro Blomstedt with Hahn has me thrilled, and puzzled, at the same time -

How was it?

I was only able to stay for the Nielsen, a work I had never heard before, but it was superb. Hahn is amazingly confident, and the work itself struck me as - well, I don't know why it's not as beloved as the Sibelius concerto, except maybe the lightness rather than heroism in the finale?

Leonard Slatkin led a surprisingly good, rhythmically sharp, clear Beethoven overture.
