I was very much taken with this composer's music while watching the Werner Herzog documentary Cave of Forgotten Dreams. I have the soundtrack on order. Do any of you enjoy his music and/or have any thoughts on this composer and recordings of his music?

I have this cello solo album.

Ernst Reijseger: Colla Parte - Visioni per Violoncello Solo (1998)

Overall impression I had was melancholy, but there is a lot of variety: bluesy/jazzy, chanting, Bach/Baroque-like, meditative, percussive, etc. All the music are his compositions except two cover tunes: Abdullah Ibrahim (Dollar Brand) & Mengelberg. This is a beautiful album.

There is a newer cello solo album (Tell Me Everything, Winter & Winter, 2008), but I don't have it.

I listened to some samples of the sound track of Cave Of Forgotten Dreams, they sounds very nice. I think one of solo cello tune is the same one that is included in the above album.
