FOR SALE: The one-time return to the U.S. by Sir Thomas Beecham, to conduct the Seattle Symphony Orchestra, at the Orpheum Theatre, Feb. 18. 1960. This in in stereo...one of his "lollipops" concerts. Works of Berlioz, Delibes, Gounod, Handel-Beecham, Delius, & Saint-Saens, along with his witty addresses to the audience. To round things out, Ravel's Le Tombeau de Couperin, from the dress rehearsal of Aug. 1, 1946, with the Boston Symphony Orchestra conducted by Serge Koussevitzky(his only recording of the work) and Debussy's Afternoon of a Faune, from the concert of Dec. 9, 1947. These from rare military transcriptions. Sound is excellent, except for some surface noise in spots. Price is $16.00.  Let me know if you're interested.  Steve Slezak (spcv1@netzero.net)
