Contrast and affinity almost throughout. Good stuff.

The full shot feels more balanced to me--boat in the lower left, pointing towards the greenery in the upper right.

It is comforting to see that Finnish waters suffer from algae as much as Florida waters.

That's not a crop but a foot zoom, but I agree with the greenery & balance. And yeah there's some algae here too.

A photo not posted due to the composition or very aesthetical value (btw, the rule of a maximum of 0,5 MB for posts creates limits in that respect) ... but the big fires in Southern Europe these days create a strange, red, lantern-like sun disc up here in Denmark, as reported by many people. An un-edited photo as regards the colours, from 9:40 AM today - a small part of the view from my window.

Wow, is that the sun or the moon?
Yes, I had to think twice too. It is the sun though, maybe under circumstances comparable to cities with smog (?).

The terminally hip and happening Depardon shot these (I believe for the colour supplement of a London broadsheet?) in parts of my city. I was in my teens and had just started working full time in the studio, so they're quite evocative for me.

Great photos guys!

I still have 3000+ photos (Raw format) from my three-week trip to Ireland this summer that I have not had time to post-process. My copy of LR6 is not updating  >:( , hence, I cannot deal with my 900+ photos from my new Olympus TG-5! (2100+ from my Nikon D7200 are ok). As you know LR is going CC only, and stand-alone users like me are reporting problems updating. Really p1sses me off as I have used and enjoyed LR for over 10 years now, but refuse to sign up for CC, for a variety of reasons!  >:(  :'(

ANYWAY, I also have ~3000 or so Kodachrome slides taken from 1989-2003 and I NEED to finally get these digitized. I am torn between buying a slide scanner, sending them in to a lab for scanning, or buying a macro (probably a Nikon 105mm micro) and photographing them. Each one of these options presents its own mix of pluses and minuses. I scanned a few hundred several years ago on my Epson flatbed scanner (700?), but learned quickly that 48 bit is really only worthwhile for a few select slides as it is very time-consuming and produces huge files. In reality, only a small proportion of my slides will get printed and likely no larger than A4. Has anyone here digitized a slide collection? How did you do it?
